Today I joined two WebSphere sessions. The first one on Rational XSD Integration in WADS (WebSphere Application Development Studio). This was a real good presentation by Thomas Sübröcker IBM Germany. What a smooth UML integration.
The next session was about JSF (Java Server Faces) Integration in WADS to bring some RAD to it. Presentation by Ingo Erdmann form the Groupware Competence Center (University of Paderborn). Really interesting.

I changed to two Richtext session. Ralf Mollik from GROUP Technologies explained some indeep stuff on Richtext.

Then the big special. Domino 7 and DB2 presentation by Manfred Lenz, IBM Germany. Do you expect performance issues or to handle millions of documents by changing from nsf to DB2?
This will not happen. The only thing is, if you already using DB2, you can use it as nsf container. So you can use the backup solution of the DB2. That's it.
Only the document meta information (NoteID, Formname etc.) is stored in regular table fields. The document content is stored as BLOB.
Every nsf is stored as a set of four tablespaces with the database name as schema.
